Who hasn't experienced this? As soon as someone else has been behind the wheel, you struggle with a seat that's been moved. Engineers have addressed this inconvenience. The solution is called the "memory function." The memory function allows you to save a set seat position and restore it at the touch of a button if the seat is in a different position. This function can also be used to adjust the side mirrors.
But what's the technical behind it? A potentiometer for position and angle detection allows the seat to be adjusted. This potentiometer provides feedback on the current seat position. When adjusting the side mirrors, the potentiometers are located on the mirror's motor shaft. Each position corresponds to a resistance value of the potentiometer. This allows the mirrors to be aligned correctly. Our custom-designed Metallux potentiometers are used for this application.
